This site is run by Vanson Bourne Ltd (“Vanson Bourne”, “We”, “us”, “our” or “The Company”) under these Terms of Use, as amended from time to time (“Terms”).

1. Contact Information & Disclosure

This Site is provided by Vanson Bourne Ltd. We do not charge you for using our Site. If you want to receive the information about our name and address by email, or if you have a complaint about our service or want more information about services, go to the ‘Contact Us’ page for further information.

2. Site Functionality and Availability

We make no guarantee as to the availability of the Site. We reserve the right to change or eliminate, and restrict or block access to, all or any part of the Site without notice.

You are prohibited from posting or transmitting via this website any unlawful, defamatory, obscene, offensive or scandalous material, or any material that constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, likely to give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violates any law. We will fully co-operate with any law enforcement authorities or court order lawfully requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials on this website.

Information collected by us is used for internal review to:

  • improve the content of Vanson Bourne
  • customise the content and/or layout of Vanson Bourne
  • notify users (with their consent) about updates to Vanson Bourne
  • contact users (with their consent) for marketing purposes

Information collected is not shared with other organisations for commercial purposes.

3. Services, Site Information

The services we provide include the ability for you to answer surveys, participate in polls, take part in focus groups and take part in individual depth interviews. You will have the opportunity to earn incentives by participating in the above. We are not liable for any costs incurred by you whist participating in our surveys using mobile interactive devices, such as airtime, roaming or data costs.

We do not make any warranties with respect to any information posted by members, poll or survey results. You agree that Vanson Bourne is not liable or responsible for such postings, results or content supplied by third parties, or for actions you might take in reliance thereon.

4. Privacy Policy and Vanson Bourne Rewards Programme

Our Privacy Policy and Reward Points Programme are part of and incorporated into these Terms. We reserve the right to contact you for lawful purposes, such as in connection with our or your performance or enforcement of these Terms or a Site service or activity. We reserve the right to contact you about your survey response and to ask you follow up questions, any contact with you regarding your survey response will be in accordance with the principles of the Market Research Society.

5. Infringement of Our Rights or the Rights of Others

Our Site is protected by intellectual property laws and you agree to respect them. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved. It is our policy to terminate in appropriate circumstances any (if any) account or right of access for repeated infringement, and we also reserve the right to terminate for even one infringement.

6. Cookies Policy

Cookies are used by the platform in order to ensure continued access and consistency with activity within Vanson Bourne Community and in online surveys you will receive. No personally identifiable information is stored or tracked by these cookies.

7. Membership

We reserve the right to deny membership or terminate your account without any justification to deny such a denial.

We also reserve the right to terminate your account if you have been inactive for 365 days or more by not responding to any survey invitation or having any community activity at all. If we terminate your account, the respective points will be forfeited and erased.

If you unsubscribe without redeeming your points, your points will be forfeited as your account is now permanently closed.

Refer a friend – Terms and conditions

Refer a friend or colleague and as a thank you, we’ll reward you with 20 credits (£10) for each successful person you recommend that completes three surveys with us!

1. Eligibility

Only current members of the Vanson Bourne Community can participate in the refer a friend promotion.

2. How to enter

Friends or colleagues must use the referral link that you share with them to sign up to the Vanson Bourne Community.

3. Terms

We will only accept referrals for people aged over 18 years old and who are in current employment – either self-employed or employed by an organisation. There are no limits on the number of referrals that can be made. You can’t recommend yourself

4. Acceptance

After completing the application form, the referred friends or colleagues will be subject to several verification checks, such as verifying their employment online. If the referred friend or colleague does not pass our checks, then they will not be accepted onto the Community and no reward will be offered to the Vanson Bourne Community member.

5. Points

For every friend or colleague that a Vanson Bourne Community member refers that successfully passes our checks, is accepted onto the community and completes three surveys, will receive twenty (20) points which will be added to their Vanson Bourne Community account within five working days. No cash alternative will be offered.

6. Previous membership

If a friend or colleague that has been referred is or has at some point in the past been a member of the Vanson Bourne Community or the Vanson Bourne Business Panel then you will not be eligible for any points.

7. Misuse

If Vanson Bourne suspects any misuse of the referral scheme in anyway and identifies the Vanson Bourne Community member concerned, then their account may be terminated.

8. Dispute

In the event of any dispute, Vanson Bourne’s decision will be final.

9. Acceptance of terms

By using the Refer a friend promotion you are acknowledging and accepting these terms and conditions in their entirety.

Prize Draw – Terms and Conditions

Within every survey invitation you receive it will specify whether you will receive a reward for completion or an entry into a prize draw. Please find below the terms and conditions for the prize draw. Further details on the prizes and the competition dates will be shown in each survey invitation where a prize draw is stated.

1. Eligibility

This competition is open to all members of the Vanson Bourne Community that have received the survey invite email sent on behalf of the Promoter. Employees and immediate family (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners) of the Promoter and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies or business partners are not eligible to enter this competition.

2. How to Enter

Internet access required to participate. To enter you will need to follow the link in the survey invite email and submit a fully completed online survey (the “Survey”). Only one entry allowed per person. No purchase necessary. Incomplete or corrupted entries will not be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

3. Use of Data

All details provided by you will be held by the Promoter and used in accordance with these terms and conditions and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available here. By entering this competition and in the event of winning you consent to the Promoter sharing your personal data with a third party for the sole purpose of distributing your prize. Your personal data will not be shared with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Receipt of Entries

The Promoter cannot be held responsible for network, computer or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry. The Promoter is not responsible for entries not received and/or any lost entries.

5. Prizes

The prize(s) will be specified in each survey invite. These prize(s) are not transferable, and no alternative will be offered.

6. Dates

The dates when the competition is running to and from and when the prize draw winners will be announced will be specified in each individual survey invite.

7. Selection of winners

The winner of each prize will be chosen at random from all eligible entries received for the relevant draw.

8. Notification

The winners will each be notified by email and/or telephone within 14 days following the draw date with instructions on how to claim their prize. If a winner cannot be contacted or is unable to accept their prize, the Promoter reserves the right to choose another winner from eligible entries received.

9. Winner’s details

Details of the winners, name and country of residence, will be obtainable after each draw date by request. The winner may be required to participate in post-competition publicity and the Promoter may use the winner’s details for publicity purposes.

10. General

The Promoter reserves the right to amend the competition in exceptional circumstances. All entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and the Promoter reserves the right to exclude entrants for any breach of these terms and conditions.
